Are you thinking about getting a job in the U.S.? Do you understand the American job interview process? Is fear of speaking in English holding you back? Finding employment and adjusting to workplace culture in the United States can be challenging. Even if you studied English for many years, you may suddenly feel overwhelmed and insecure when it comes to a job interview in English.
This workshop is designed to empower non-native English speakers with the essential skills and strategies needed to be successful in job interviews.
Workshop Objectives. This workshop will provide information and coaching needed to speak and understand English in typical interview situations. In a friendly and supportive environment, students will gain expertise and practice.
Key Course Highlights:
1. Build strong interview foundations: Understand the job interview process including common interview formats, expectations, and etiquette.
2. Prepare for interview questions: Gain proficiency in answering common interview questions, including behavioral and situational inquiries with confidence.
3. Demonstrate your value: Develop strategies to articulate your strengths, skills, and accomplishments, aligning them with the job requirements to make a strong impression on interviewers.
4. Mastering non-verbal communication: Understand the significance of non-verbal cues such as body language and physical appearance to show professionalism, confidence, and engagement during interviews.
5. Mock interviews and feedback: Engage in role-play interviews, receive personalized feedback, and practice strategies to improve your interviewing skills.
6. Post-interview follow-up: Understand the importance of post-interview etiquette, including sending thank-you notes and conducting effective follow-up communication to leave a lasting impression.
